Key Account Manager (External Sports Brands)

Are you a sports enthusiast who loves the thrill of hunting for new products and closing commercial deals? We are looking for an energetic, junior-profile experienced in sourcing and creating partnership with external brands to lead the strategic expansion and onboarding of external international sport brands within Decathlon.  

In this role, you won't be selling outward; instead, you will be the ultimate commercial bridge sourcing inward—finding top-tier external sports brands, negotiating win-win partnerships, and bringing their product portfolios onto our shelves and digital platforms.  

Your Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Sourcing & Brand Onboarding

  • The Hunt: Partner closely with the Country Sales Manager to strategically scout, identify, and select external international brands that complement Decathlon's local commercial strategy.  

  • Regional Alignment: Coordinate functionally with the APAC Zone team to ensure selected brand portfolios fit regional guidelines and standards.  

  • Onboarding Execution: Manage the end-to-end onboarding journey, moving new partners smoothly from a signed contract to a full retail presence.  

2. Commercial Negotiation

  • The Deal: Lead firm, end-to-end commercial negotiations with external brand executives.  

  • Profitability: Secure optimal agreements regarding commercial margins, price structures, quantity commitments, markdown support, and merchandise swaps.  

3. Partnership Management & Account Operations

  • Primary Interface: Act as the main strategic and commercial interface between external brand partners and Decathlon's internal ecosystem.  

  • Performance Analysis: Analyze seasonal product performance data ("Top Flop" tracking) to optimize assortment ranges, protect margins, and maximize category profitability.  

  • Supply & Logistics Collaboration: Coordinate closely with external brands and internal logistics/warehousing teams to ensure seamless shipments, inbound tracking, and stock dispatch.  

Who We Are Looking For

  • The Passion (Non-Negotiable): You are a true sports lover who actively practices sports, allowing you to understand what our sports users genuinely need.

  • The Experience: You have around 2 years of solid negotiation experience across any industry, though a background in Retail, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), or Category Sourcing is highly beneficial.

  • The Posture: A dynamic junior professional with excellent communication skills, strong executive presence, and the ability to mobilize cross-functional stakeholders.  

  • The Tech & Language Skills:

    • Fluent in Thai with strong English proficiency (written/spoken) to comfortably handle regional APAC alignments.  

    • Highly analytical mindset with a strong comfort level in retail economics, margin tracking, and business performance analytics.
