Job Description

Guarantee a smooth and reliable IT environment for teammates and customers by managing all in-store technology, ensuring operational continuity, cybersecurity, and a “best in class” omnichannel experience.

Responsibility 1: Develop, enrich, and take care of human capital

  • Embody and transmit Decathlon Purpose, Values, and Human Fundamentals in daily work.

  • Train and support teammates on IT systems to build autonomy.

  • Cooperate with Store Director and leaders to create a safe, efficient digital workplace.

  • Ensure compliance with all IT, safety, and data protection standards within the store.

Responsibility 2: Lead and manage in-store IT operations as an intrapreneur

  • Act as the main point of contact for all IT topics in the store.

  • Provide level 1 and level 2 IT support to teammates, ensuring quick resolution.

  • Manage IT assets, track inventory, and ensure accuracy for finance and fixed-asset controls.

  • Coordinate with vendors for technical support and incident resolution.

  • Implement digital tools and IT systems to improve omnichannel customer experience.

Responsibility 3: Guarantee “best in class” IT-enabled customer experience

  • Ensure IT equipment, networks, and systems run smoothly to support sales, payments, stock accuracy, and customer journey.

  • Communicate IT news, alerts, and incidents to all teammates.

  • Support store operations by ensuring reliable WiFi, POS, mobile devices, and store systems.

  • Contribute to customer satisfaction by ensuring technology works seamlessly.

Responsibility 4: Manage in-store IT performance (People / Planet / Business)

  • Analyze IT performance, incidents, and risks to propose improvements.

  • Support store activity planning through reliable system availability.

  • Maintain cybersecurity, access control, data protection, and system integrity.

  • Ensure the store follows group IT standards, processes, and sustainable practices.

Responsibility 5: Guarantee safety, security, and risk prevention

  • Ensure company property, IT assets, and data are secure.

  • Monitor risk-prevention systems and contribute to daily store safety routines.

  • Ensure business continuity plans and emergency procedures are in place.


Requirements

People & Culture Leadership

  • Able to work autonomously while collaborating well with store leaders.

  • Able to train and guide teammates with patience and clarity.

Technical & Operational Expertise

  • Strong understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing.

  • Experience troubleshooting wireless, security, and switching issues.

  • In-depth knowledge of Meraki cloud platform: device management, configuration, troubleshooting.

  • Understanding of IT systems, cybersecurity, hardware and software environments.

  • Knowledge of Windows Server, Windows, macOS, Android, and common applications.

  • Able to manage IT projects end-to-end.

  • Comfortable providing fast, high-quality support.

Operational Excellence

  • Able to maintain accurate IT inventory.

  • Flexible working hours when support is required.

  • Strong coordination with vendors and external partners.
